The first few minutes of this may be difficult to watch for some (it was for me, because of the owner’s panic and grief), but shows a dog who has stopped breathing being revived by CPR and it’s good to watch and see the method.

i have this really weird feeling in my chest

SO’s grandma got a new French bulldog puppy. This is how he sits

I hate posts like this, and the one that’s been going around again of the pugs that hop up the stairs instead of walking up like a normal dog. It’s not cute, it’s a sign of malformed and weak hips, possibly leading to hip dysplasia.
I mean, I’m all for recognizing how adorable it is, but this frenchie looks like its a blue?? Which is also not a normal color and a recessive gene which causes other health problems…
Anyways. What I’m trying to say is that go ahead and post this, it IS cute. But for the love of god, please also write that the dog is likely going to have pain and weakness it’s entire life, leading to possible expensive surgeries and medications, and that it won’t lead a normal active doggy lifestyle. I hate the misinformation being spread by posts like these. Yes it’s cute, and yes these dogs already exist and need loving homes, but they need to stop breeding for traits like these, so the public needs to be informed and to demand that breeders produce healthy, sound animals.
Ok, getting off my soapbox now.

The Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco / open to pedestrian traffic only, during its opening in May 1937 (top) and on its 50th anniversary in May 1987 (bottom).

In 1987, the weight of the 300,000 people that crossed the bridge caused it to sag by 5 feet.

My dad and I were watching it live on TV and he had to assure me that the bridge wouldn’t break or collapse.
